For a dialogue among the arts

The development of culture, innovation, and analysis in a society is directly linked to its educational structure. In a world undergoing drastic social, political and economic changes, educational structures are bound to build solid relationships among all sciences and arts in order to tackle the complexity of these new phenomena manifested in many degrees and transformations.

In the field of arts, these vital changes should be seen from the interaction among disciplines. Only from this perspective, confluences can be created to understand the present situation and project a potentially desirable future. All these interactions among disciplines have already been considered by many artists, educators and educational institutions in order to create a new and enriching arena for theory, training, research and understanding of our world and its people.

From this perspective, we can say that the dialogue among the arts has contributed and continues to contribute to picture and find solutions to the special complexity of our contemporary world. This is the reason why this conference on visual art education has drawn its attention to one of the fields that can better induce and express our desire: to enter into a dialogue with different arts so as to create and generate evidence and inertias on the power of interdisciplinary in all its various forms and fields for visual, musical and performing arts.

Based on these premises, this conference is open to all kinds of work and research experiences that —from the relationship between art and education— can provide innovative approaches to training, and different views to better understand the role of education in society.
